FC Bayern are visiting SV Darmstadt in the Bundesliga today.

Thomas Tuchel is actually spoiled for choice when it comes to line-up.

Munich – “The quality in games and training is increasing,” said Thomas Tuchel when asked about the current competitive situation at FC Bayern.

Against Mainz, for the first time this season, there were only licensed players in the squad.

Thomas Tuchel can rely on almost the entire squad

Even in the run-up to the Bundesliga game at SV Darmstadt, Tuchel didn't have to think long about who would be missing.

Apart from Noussair Mazroui, Kingsley Coman, Bouna Sarr and Tarek Buchmann, all players are fit: Long live the competition on Säbener Straße – finally.

Tuchel doesn't actually have much reason to move at the moment.

The last two appearances at home against Lazio Rome (3:0) and FSV Mainz 05 (8:1) were too convincing.

Tuchel's adjustments after the horror week in February worked too well.

Tuchel's changes are fruitful

Joshua Kimmich at right back, Eric Dier and Matthijs de Ligt as the new central defender duo and Aleksandar Pavlovic alongside Leon Goretzka one row in front: just a few weeks ago very few people would have put their money on this Munich starting eleven.

And yet it is precisely this axis that has given the German record champions security in the last few weeks.

So why tear apart what fits together?

Tuchel has no reason for change at the moment.

“They have a good chance of starting again,” said the 50-year-old about Dier and de Ligt.

And to Leon Goretzka, who was rejected by Julian Nagelsmann?

“We are pushing him, he has been very good recently and has also trained well.

I fully expect him to play tomorrow and play well.”

Davies or Guerreiro: who plays at left back?

Even on offense, there isn't really a reason for Tuchel to change.

Serge Gnabry is finally fit again and scored well in the shooting festival against Mainz, but is probably not yet an option for the first team after a month-long injury break.

Only in the left-back position does it seem unclear who is currently ahead.

Raphaël Guerreiro impressed in Alphonso Davies' absence.

However, the Canadian celebrated his starting eleven comeback against Mainz and had to be substituted in the first half after a collision.

It's quite possible that Guerreiro won't have to come on as a substitute against Darmstadt... (
