Munich - He is the winner of the season at FC Bayern so far: Aleksandar Pavlovic.
The 19-year-old has fought for his regular place in the record champions' central midfield.
There, the youngster recently shone with strong performances alongside Leon Goretzka and pushed Joshua Kimmich to the right-back position.
The logical consequence: national coach Julian Nagelsmann has nominated Pavlovic for the national team for the first time - Goretzka, however, has to stay at home.

“We exchanged ideas briefly,” explained Pavlovic on Saturday (March 16) following Munich’s confident 5-2 win in Darmstadt.
“He’s not mad at me.
“It’s not my fault that I’ve been nominated now,” the 19-year-old continued.
Pavlovic assured with a laugh on his face: "I didn't have to apologize to him." The relationship between the youngster, who impressed again against Darmstadt (
tz
grade: 2), and his midfield partner seems to continue despite his non-nomination to be intact.
While Goretzka has to worry about taking part in the home European Championships after being kicked out, Pavlovic wants to be part of the final squad for the upcoming international matches in France and against the Netherlands.

The Bayern jewel is eager for his DFB debut.
“I arrive with a lot of self-confidence.
It will be an experience to be there," said the Munich native and assured: "I'll put my foot down and give it my all." For him, the DFB nomination is still "difficult to realize, but of course it's a nice thing that I'm happy about I’m happy.”
However, there was headwind from some experts for Nagelsmann's Pavlovic nomination.
World champion Sami Khedira described it as a “political decision”.
Background: Pavlovic was also courted by the Serbian national team - and could still play for Serbia in the upcoming test matches after a DFB appearance.
For TV experts Mario Basler and Lothar Matthäus, the 19-year-old's nomination also comes too early.

Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund sees it completely differently.
For him, Pavlovic's DFB nomination is anything but surprising.
“It's really impressive how self-confident he plays at his young age and what presence he has on the pitch.
“He has become a very important player for us,” said Freund, praising his protégé.

The Bayern boss gave him some good advice: “He should have fun with the national team, just like he does every day in training.
“He always comes into the dressing room with a smile and enjoys every minute on the pitch,” said Freund after the Darmstadt game.
There was a brief moment of shock during the game: Pavlovic had to be substituted in the 58th minute with a swollen eye.
After the game, however, the youngster was quickly able to give the all-clear - so nothing stands in the way of his first DFB appearance.
