In a potential playoff matchup, the Warriors and Lakers delivered the goods with the rise of the teenage stars that reminded of oblivion.
Steph Curry scored 31 points in his return game from injury, Klay Thompson scored 26 off the bench, Draymond Green did everything (6 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists) and Jonathan Cominga also stood out as usual with 23 points, while LeBron James did it all To cover the lack of Anthony Davis who injured his eye in the first quarter and did not return to play - but was not successful despite a tremendous evening of 40 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds.
The Warriors ran out to a double-digit lead with a run in the third quarter, LeBron bit by bit, but in the final minutes the referees stole the show with endless delays for monitor checks, which combined with a glitch in the game clock and made the ending long and exhausting, until James himself seemed to die: "I'm old Too much for this shit."
The bottom line is the Lakers with their second straight loss, and the Warriors are now ranked above them in ninth place in the West.
Chicago (35:33) - Washington (56:11) 98:127
Danny Avdia who was injured in the previous game against Houston, was planned to play and was already assigned to the top five - but just before the game he suffered pain and it became clear that he would not be able to play.
In his absence and without Tyus Jones, the team with the worst balance in the NBA had no chance.
The Bulls jumped out to a 13-point lead in the first quarter, led by 22 at halftime and only increased it in garbage time of the second half, when they received a career high from Mayo Dosunmo with 34 points along with 9 assists, and also received an impressive contribution from Nikola Vucevic who celebrated with 29 and 13 rebounds.
Corey Kispert, who replaced Avdia in the five, finished as the leading scorer for the Wizards with 16.
