The Yale University basketball team qualified for the seventh time in its history for the college tournament tonight (Sunday) after winning the Ivy League tournament with a dramatic victory in the final game 61:62 over Brown University.
The Israeli player of the Bulldogs, Danny Wolf, finished a solid game with 9 points (4 of 11 from the field, 0 of 4 of 3 and 1 of 3 from the free throw line) along with 13 rebounds, 4 blocks and 2 steals in the victory.
The one who took the team on his shoulders was guard John Fulkidas with 18 points.
The Bulldogs trailed in the final minutes and were on their way to losing, but Brown missed 3 of 4 free throws in the deciding seconds, and forward Matt Knowling scored the winning basket with 3 seconds left on his way to 11 personal points.
Wolff (20, 2.13), who led the reserve team to win the silver medal at the European Championship last summer, is averaging 14.5 points and 9.7 rebounds per game in a great breakout season at Yale.

Wolff will be one of two Israeli players who will play in the big dance starting this week, with Emmanuel Sharp, the son of Maccabi Tel Aviv legend DJ Sharp, who plays at the University of Houston, which is considered one of the favorites in the tournament, also playing.
Last night in the semifinals of their divisional tournament, Houston was soundly defeated by Iowa State.
