The leader of the championship returned to the game thanks to a strange own goal by Axel Diasy (51), who tried to return the ball to his goalkeeper who was not in the goal at all.
11 minutes later came the goal of the game.
Steffi Mavididi tricked Malo Gusto and from the spot he sent a spinning kick between the links of Robert Sanchez.
However, in the 70th minute the visitors were down to ten players after Callum Doyle stopped Nicholas Jackson on the way to the goal.
The referee ordered for the white spot, but after re-watching, changed the decision because the foul was right on the verge of going into the penalty area.
The referee added eight minutes to this exciting game and in the second minute of added time, the rising star Cole Palmer put a ball with his heel to Carney Chuquamka, who scored from close range to make it 2:3.
In the very last attack Noni Maduka secured the victory and promotion with another goal in a personal operation.
It will be Chelsea's sixth semi-final in the last eight years.
In all five previous times, the Blues also went on to the finals, except that they won only in 2018.
