Former UFC champion Conor McGregor has been hailed as a "marketing genius" after he "snuggled" and wrote a comment on Sidney Sweeney's Instagram account to promote his Hollywood film debut.
Sweeney is undoubtedly the hottest star of 2024, with a long line of successful movies, popular series and campaigns for a host of fashion brands among others.
The American actress' Immaculate is released next week, coincidentally just a day after McGregor's Road House opens - creating a rivalry between the two (potential) Hollywood blockbusters.

But Conor isn't one to miss an opportunity to promote himself, so the Irish fighter took to Sweeney's Instagram at the weekend, after she posted a photo of herself with the caption: 'IMMACULATE march 22nd'.
In response, the Irishman wrote: "Road House on March 21", and quickly gained over ten thousand likes, and became the top comment on the post of the one who is crowned "the most beautiful woman in the world".
Needless to say, his like count is negligible compared to Sweeney's original post, which totaled 1.3 million likes (she has a total of 18.8 million followers).

McGregor stars alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in the action film Road House - and has been praised for his efforts to promote the film online.
A "marketing genius", they called him on the network, a "genius move".
By the way, with all due respect to his acting career, McGregor insists that his first priority is a return to the UFC, and although a fight with Michael Chandler has been in the works for more than a year, there is still no date for the fight.
His fans are already speculating that McGregor will not be returning to the sport at the age of 35, but he recently insisted that "negotiations are ongoing".

Notably, he won praise for his performance in the film, and IndieWire film critic Christian Zilko said: "McGregor steals every scene he's in. It's unclear how much of what he does is actually acting, as he simply plays a boisterous, charismatic Irishman who loves beating people up and showing off his ridiculous tattoos. But his first acting role could establish him as the Arnold Schwarzenegger of his generation."
