“Specialists estimate that the rehabilitation period will last several months” and will require several treatments, making any definitive prognosis premature, it is emphasized.
On February 20, the footballer lost consciousness at his home and was transferred to Aarhus University Hospital, where he was placed on a respirator.
The club had clarified that he suffered from an apparently acute brain illness not resulting from “any self-harm or external factors”.

Illness had kept him away from the field for several months already.
The midfielder saw his condition deteriorate on Tuesday February 20.
“The Swedish national team player lost consciousness at home and was transferred to Aarhus University Hospital, where he is hospitalized and placed on a ventilator,” FC Midtjylland said.
His exact diagnosis was not revealed at the time.
According to FCM, he suffered multiple blood clots in his brain.
A native of Norrköping (Eastern Sweden) and father of one, Olsson made his debut at Arsenal before playing at FCM and AIK (Stockholm), then at Krasnodar and Anderlecht before joining FCM again in the summer last.
