Why FCK doesn't play a friendly during the international break
After the international break, there are more important games coming up for the traditional club.
First, the home game against Fortuna Düsseldorf will take place on March 30th, before the DFB Cup semi-final takes place in Saarbrücken a few days later.
1. FC Kaiserslautern will not play a friendly match during the international break.
“I'm not planning a test match because I prefer to work on the training pitch during these 14 days,” Funkel explains his decision before the game at Hannover 96. “We then only have eight games left.
I never liked doing that towards the end of a season.
I always enjoyed doing this in September, October and November, but at the end of the season I prefer to train with the players.
“I know exactly what I can ask of them,” said the 70-year-old.
