As things stand, Eric Dier won't be there when the European Football Championship takes place in Germany this summer.
His compatriots can still be happy.
Munich – The countdown is on: the European Football Championship begins in Germany in less than three months.
Someone who is currently only a spectator still hopes to jump on the European Championship bandwagon in time: Eric Dier.

The Englishman, who moved from Tottenham Hotspur to FC Bayern Munich in the winter, explained in the
kicker
interview: “It's boring, but I always say the same thing: As a player you just have to concentrate on the performances at the club, do your best there.
Everything else is out of my hands.
I have to do my best here at FC Bayern – and then we’ll see in the summer.”
Of course he would love to be a player in his new home.
At big tournaments, as Dier has already experienced, there is a very special atmosphere.
“Sure, a European or World Cup is incredible.
The atmosphere is like a carnival in the summer.
People are in a good mood, they’re out and about, they’re partying.”

Dier not selected for England – Kane included despite injury
Dier is currently not an issue for the Three Lions.
The last time he was in the squad was exactly a year ago; the 30-year-old played his last England minutes in the 2022 World Cup round of 16 against Senegal.
In contrast to Dier, Harry Kane, the captain of the national team, was called up for the England selection despite an ankle injury.
The record champions announced that Kane was “being treated by the team doctors in close consultation with FC Bayern’s medical department.”
