Barcelona president Juan Laporte gave an extensive interview to "Mundo Deportivo" this morning (Saturday), in which he referred, among other things, to the preferential treatment that Real Madrid receives from the referees in Spain, apparently.
"It still makes me angry, because their TV channel is a shame," he claimed.
"The association should intervene, because they try to influence the referee there every week. Imagine if we were to act like that - they would have already punished us."
Laporte added and claimed that at the moment, Barcelona's relationship with Real Madrid is "not good", partly because Florentino Perez testified in the "Negriera case" - the Catalans' corruption case: "They are trying to keep this case alive and claim that we influence the referees, even though That's what they do."
The president also pointedly referred to some of the team's players.
According to him, "Frankie de Jong is very happy here and the last thing he wants is to leave. There are still gaps regarding a new contract, but I'm not worried. I'm also optimistic about Ronald Araujo staying. Bayern want him, but we're in talks with him."
And what about players who might join in the summer?
While Real Madrid are expected to land Kylian Mbappe, Laporte claimed that the signing of a superstar "is not necessary, we will do some polishing. We have players like Lamin Yamal, Robert Lewandowski, Joao Felix, Fran Torres, Rafinha. Next year we will also have Gabi , while Pedri and Frankie de Jong are world class."
Angry at the bitter rival.

Laporte also uploaded the first episode of his new podcast and addressed the offers recently received for some Barcelona players: "We rejected an offer of 200 million euros from Paris Saint-Germain for Lamin Yamal. We refused because we see progress in restoring the financial situation, there is light at the end of the tunnel. There are offers Also about de Jong, Fermin, Balda, Gabi, Pedro and Araujo, but we don't want to sell them. With these names we can reach a billion euro.
