Xabi Alonso is considered Bayern's ideal solution to succeed Thomas Tuchel.
If that doesn't work, an Italian title guarantor could be the right alternative.
Munich – Giovanni Trapattoni, Carlo Ancelotti and soon Antonio Conte?
When looking for a successor to Thomas Tuchel, Conte, an Italian, is now said to be at the top of FC Bayern's coaching list.
There is even talk of an upcoming offer.
The 54-year-old would be the third Italian coach in Bayern's club history.
Coach search at FC Bayern: Conte is said to be at the top of the list
“There is currently no plan A, B and C,” FCB sports director Max Eberl recently told Sport Bild
about the German record champions’ search for a coach
.
“What does the squad look like, what DNA does the club have, what history.
We think carefully: Which trainers fit what we have?
“What does this club radiate and want to achieve?” he explained.
According to a report in the Italian newspaper
La Repubblica,
Antonio Conte in particular seems to fit Bayern's requirements profile.
The former Tottenham Hotspur coach is considered a title guarantee and has achieved success in almost all of his positions.
Successor for Tuchel?
Conte is considered the title guarantor
The 54-year-old became Italian champion four times with Juventus Turin and Inter Milan.
Conte then moved to the island to Chelsea FC, where he also won the championship in the 2016/17 season and the FA Cup the following year.
Only during his time at Tottenham Hotspur did he remain without a title.
According to the
La Repubblica
report , there was contact between Conte's camp and FC Bayern months ago.
The newspaper also claims to have learned that the ex-Italy national coach is one of Munich's narrow favorites in the search for Tuchel's successor.
The paper writes that Bayern is planning to make an offer to Conte soon.
Hoeneß confirms Bayern's interest in Xabi Alonso
However, the veracity of the report is unclear.
Rather, it seems certain that Xabi Alonso is still Bayern's absolute dream solution.
Only last Wednesday, Honorary President Uli Hoeneß confirmed his interest in Alonso in a talk at the Munich real estate fair.
However, the Basque's contract with Bayer Leverkusen is dated until the summer of 2026, which at least makes a move next summer complicated.

Most recently, FCB boss Jan-Christian Dreesen fueled rumors of Julian Nagelsmann's spectacular return to Säbener Straße.
It is said that the 36-year-old national coach would like to have his future as a coach clarified before the home European Championships in 2024.
Tuchel and Conte have a history in the Premier League
If Alonso, your dream coach, doesn't work out, Conte could actually be a suitable alternative.
He would then continue the illustrious list of Italian coaches at FC Bayern.
As is well known, Giovanni Trapattoni (1994 to 1995 and 1996 to 1998) and Carlo Ancelotti (2016 to 2017) trained at Säbener Straße.

Also spicy: Conte and Tuchel, who left in the summer, have a history from their time in the Premier League.
In the 2022/23 season, the two coaches (Tuchel at Chelsea and Conte at Tottenham) clashed violently when they shook hands after the final whistle.
The pictures from back then show how Tuchel initially doesn't let go of Conte's hand.
The situation quickly escalated and a pack formed on the sidelines - both coaches had to be separated from each other by bystanders.
It would at least be strange if the Italian Tuchel, of all people, were to inherit Bayern.
