His DFB-Elf players celebrated the EM encouragement from Lyon.
On Saturday, the national soccer team not only surprised the big title favorites France with a record goal from Florian Wirtz and their best performance in years.
The 2-0 victory marked the first German victory in the neighboring country in more than eleven years.
Nagelsmann's changes had an immediate effect and the DFB selection is confidently heading into the hot countdown to the European Championship with the victory.
“We can be satisfied.
I think we have taken a good step forward.
An important step.
That was clear to all of us because these are the last chances towards the European Championships to get a bit of that feeling.
