The case of the horrific murder of the Brazilian soccer player Daniel Cora Freitas made waves in the world - and now it is announced in Brazil that the murderer, businessman Addison Brits, received a prison sentence of 42 years and 5 months.
As you may recall, Cora was murdered and his body mutilated, including the removal of his penis and testicles, in a shocking incident that took place in October 2018.
Businessman Addison Brits confessed to murdering the 24-year-old footballer after finding him in bed next to his wife, Christiana.
According to him, he beat him, lifted him into the trunk of the car and drove him to the forest where he slit his throat and cut his penis and testicles while he was still alive - and left his body in the forest.

The confrontation began during a party when the footballer, from lower leagues in Brazil, sent a picture to friends in a WhatsApp group, in which he was seen lying in bed next to Brits' wife, Christiana, when she was apparently asleep, or passed out, and in the text message he wrote "I'm going to eat the mother of the birthday girl ", as an expression for a sexual act.
It is not clear if Daniel actually planned to sleep with Christiana or if it was a joke he shared with his friends.
After that, the family's attempts to hide evidence and present a false version of the event began, including a claim that Daniel tried to rape Christiana.
Alana, who celebrated her 18th birthday on the day of the incident, was sentenced to 6 years in prison for her part in the case.
Christiana, the killer's wife, was sentenced to 6 months in prison for giving false testimony.

As part of the punishment, the murderer was also sentenced to two years in solitary confinement in a dungeon.
In a conversation with him, he already said that he suffered abuse in prison, and said: "They will kill me again, and claim that I committed suicide."
