Big drama was recorded tonight (between Saturday and Sunday) in the UFC, when Igor Severino's career lasted only one and a half rounds.
The 20-year-old Brazilian, making his Octagon debut, bit his opponent and compatriot Andre Lima, leaving the referee no choice but to order the fight to end.
"Everything was fine and then, at some point, for some reason, he decided to bite me," Lima said.
"I screamed in pain."
Shortly after, UFC CEO Dana White announced that the organization had decided to cut Severino. "These are two young fighters who haven't lost," he said. "If you're frustrated and don't want to fight anymore, there are other ways to do it.
The worst thing you can do is bite your opponent."

In case you were wondering, Lima actually took the incident in good spirits - even very good.
He left the arena with bite marks on his arm - and decided he wanted to commemorate that moment.
The 25-year-old Brazilian rushed to a tattoo parlor - and tattooed the bite marks on his arm, so that they would remain forever.
White, who liked this gesture so much, decided to double his win bonus, so he pocketed $50,000 instead of $25,000.
"I was going to give him $25,000, but I'll give him $50,000," White wrote on social media.
"It's just huge!"

Lima, by the way, kept his perfect record - eight wins against zero losses.
For the young Severino, it was the first loss in his career, after eight consecutive victories - and this loss he will not soon forget.

As you remember, in June 1997, Mike Tyson bit the ear of Evander Holyfield and paid dearly for it.
"I was fined 3 million dollars," he said, "I think I lost something like an additional 30 million dollars because of that bite."
