Frankfurt am Main - The initial spark for EM euphoria has already been successful - now it's time for the DFB team to turn the spark into a flame.
National coach Julian Nagelsmann's team will face the Netherlands in Frankfurt on Tuesday (8.45 p.m., TV information can be found here).
In the second international match of the year, the newly formed DFB team wants to build on its convincing performance against France.
There is actually no reason to rotate – unless Nagelsmann wants to test his bench.
But the national coach is not planning “many changes when everyone is fresh”.
DFB-PK before the Netherlands game: Nagelsmann relies on late starter Andrich
Together with Robert Andrich from Leverkusen, he will answer questions from journalists on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
Alongside the new midfield boss Toni Kroos, Andrich impressed in Lyon on Saturday.
He is a winner of the new distribution of roles in the national team.
The “worker” from Leverkusen suits Kroos; prominent names had to give up the central place for him.
“It didn’t look so bad for both of us,” said the Potsdam native, commenting on the successful performance in the 2-0 win in France.
When he exchanged nicknames with world star Kylian Mbappé, he showed that he was by no means fussing.
“I do believe that my profile radiates something that I can help the team,” emphasizes Andrich confidently.

“We have to get into the groove”: Andrich as Nagelsmann winner
“I see those at the front who are there, that’s why they’re there.
The evaluation is not just about talent and opportunities,” said Nagelsmann about the fight for the position next to Kroos.
Andrich is currently in the front, his closest competitor is Pascal Groß from Brighton.
“We have to get into the groove, get in touch, then we can do something,” said Andrich.
He wants to continue working with Toni Kroos against the Netherlands.
