FC Bayern is still looking for a successor to head coach Thomas Tuchel.
There is apparently a Premier League coach on the list.
Munich – The 2023/24 Bundesliga season is entering the home stretch after the first international break of the year and FC Bayern needs a medium-sized miracle to become German champions.
On the other hand, everything is still possible for FCB in the Champions League.
It will be an exciting few weeks, but those responsible at the club have to concentrate on the coming season and find a successor for head coach Thomas Tuchel.
One trail apparently leads to the English Premier League.
FC Bayern is looking for Tuchel's successor
The desired solution should still be Xabi Alonso from Bayer Leverkusen.
But if signing the Spaniard doesn't work out, the German record champions need an alternative.
According to information from
Sport Bild,
Roberto de Zerbi has been targeted by FC Bayern.
The Italian is currently head coach of Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion.
There is even said to have already been contact between Bayern sports director Max Eberl and the coach.
But de Zerbi wouldn't be available cheaply.
As the English
Telegraph
reports, the Italian, whose contract runs until 2026, has a release clause of 14 million euros.

But De Zerbi is also high on the list at several other clubs.
In addition to FC Bayern, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Liverpool FC and Chelsea FC also seem to have their eye on the 44-year-old, who coached US Sassuolo Calcio and Shakhtar Donetsk, among others, before his time at Brighton & Hove Albion.
A big club, however, is still missing from his CV.
De Zerbi an option at FC Bayern?
“There is currently no plan A, B and C. We are screening the situation: what the squad looks like, what DNA the club has, what history.
We think carefully: Which trainers fit what we have?
“About what this club radiates and wants to achieve,” explained Eberl in a recent interview with
Sport Bild
