As you know, last Saturday a very serious violent incident occurred at the end of the basketball game between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Hapoel Haifa. During the incident documented, a number of fans were observed violently beating fans from the opposing team, using sticks, chairs, belts and various objects. Following the incident, a fan was evacuated from the scene with a head injury and needed medical treatment at a hospital. Also at the beginning of the month, there was an incident of attack by a number of Hapoel Tel Aviv fans against fans of Hapoel Holon.



Upon the occurrence of the incident, the Israel Police immediately opened an investigation and arrested a suspect near the incident and today another suspect was arrested, the detention of the two suspects was extended in court. The investigation continues and more arrests are expected.

It should be noted that during the period in which the order will apply, until April 24, Hapoel Tel Aviv is scheduled to play only one home game.

However, assuming that the basketball association's prosecutor's recommendation is accepted by the court, the team will be sentenced to a radius penalty for four actual games.



As for the final of the State Handball Cup scheduled for this Friday, March 29, at the Shlomo Group Hall, the game will take place as scheduled since the closing order concerns the activities of Hapoel Tel Aviv's basketball team only, as mentioned.
