The French Football Federation was the victim of personal data theft last week.
According to our information, one or more hackers have thwarted the IT security systems of the authorities and got their hands on amateur football licenses.
It all started with a message sent on a forum by an anonymous hacker.
This one claims to hold and want to sell information from several million licenses.
Player's name, first name, license number, postal address, email address, telephone number, etc.
Alerted a few days ago by its security service provider, the management of the FFF immediately notified the CNIL (National Commission for Information Technology and Liberties).
She does not yet know the scale of this attack and the mass of stolen content.
A priori, no sensitive information, such as bank details for example, would be affected.
The IT breach would have already been closed.
While waiting to learn more, it will send a press release in the coming hours to its licensees as well as to representatives of the leagues and districts.
A complaint was also filed.
