David Brooks is now substituted again after being substituted in the second half.

However, he seems to be in slight pain.

No team wants to lose the game in the last few meters of regular time.

The second penalty shootout in these European Championship playoffs is becoming more likely by the minute.

Live ticker European Championship playoffs: Ukraine follows suit and qualifies for the European Championships with a 2-1 win against Iceland

End (UKR - ISL):

Ukraine qualified for the European Championships in Germany with a fully deserved 2-1 win against Iceland.

The team is in good shape.

Sudakov stands out and prepares both goals.

Ukraine is an asset for the upcoming tournament.

Gudmundsson's stroke of genius is not enough.

Overall, Iceland was rarely compelling offensively.

90th + 1 minute (WAL - POL):

Lewandowski tries from a distance, but shoots wide of the goal.

There are some indications of an extension.

There are four minutes of added time.

89th minute (UKR - ISL):

Iceland is now throwing everything forward - what else does the team have to do?

Ukraine changes again and now builds a bulwark in front of goalkeeper Lunin's box.

That makes it difficult for the Icelanders.

Ukraine is well on its way to the 2024 European Championship in Germany.

85th minute (UKR - ISL): Mudryk puts Ukraine on the road to victory.

The national team superstar skillfully converted a flat cross to the center edge of the penalty area with a direct pass into the Icelandic goal.

Sudakov submitted again.

2:1 for Ukraine.

82nd minute (WAL - POL):

Wales and Poland are in a bitter fight for the European Championship ticket.

In the tough game, the teams forget about scoring goals, similar to the game between Georgia and Greece earlier in the evening.

It only becomes dangerous because of standards.

79th minute (UKR - ISL):

It's been a long time since Thorrsteinsson scored the Icelandic goal, turning the ball from the left to the right of the goal.

Lunin can save.

Shortly afterwards, Gudmunsson scored from seven meters after an individual mistake by the Ukrainians.

Lunin saves again.

Iceland is suddenly back!

76th minute (UKR - ISL):

Valdimarsson keeps Iceland in the game.

After a chip ball, Mykolenko finishes but doesn't score.

But the goal probably wouldn't have counted because the right-back was offside.

71st minute (UKR - ISL):

Very good free kick position half left in front of the penalty area for Ukraine.

Sudakov pulls the ball dangerously towards the goal.

Keeper Valdimarsson can deflect the ball.

Iceland is coming under more and more pressure by the minute.

68th minute (UKR - ISL):

Ukraine has also been stuck in the Icelandic half for a long time.

Northern Europeans can hardly free themselves any more and are increasingly unable to provide relief.

Ukraine is currently much closer to the lead.

Poland increases the pressure and pushes Wales further and further back.

Only the last ball is too often unsuccessful.

Wales must be on their guard.

59th minute (WAL - POL):

Curious.

Szscesny runs out of his goal to clear a ball, but gets his foot off Wilson.

Moore then shoots from 50 meters to score into the empty goal, but doesn't shoot hard enough.

The Polish backers are able to clear, then the referee blows the whistle because the keeper is still lying down.

54th minute (UKR - ISL):

What an incredible equalizer by Ukraine!

A 40-meter ball from Sudakov finds Tsygankov, who sensitively receives the ball and takes it with him, then moves inside and circles it into the far corner - a great goal for the Ukrainians.

1:1.

50th minute (WAL - POL):

Once again it becomes dangerous due to a stationary ball.

Moore heads a free-kick cross very well into the right crease, but the experienced keeper Szczesny goes long and directs the ball over his goal - luck for Poland.

The first goal of the second half belongs to Ukraine, who cause danger after a corner.

The team is challenged.

46th minute:

The games have started again.

Live ticker European Championship playoffs: Iceland leads against Ukraine at halftime

Halftime:

Both games are at halftime.

While Wales and Poland are engaged in an intense fight with few chances to score, there is a lot more going on in Wroclaw in the game between Ukraine and Iceland.

In the second half it's all about everything for the four teams.

Lead for Wales.

Davies heads in from a cross, but is offside.

The hit doesn't count.

Equalizer for Ukraine.?

Yaremschuk scores after a cross pass - but is checked for offside.

35th minute (WAL - POL):

turmoil in the Wales penalty area.

Lewandwoski heads back a cross, but doesn't find a teammate.

Wales can just about clarify.

30th minute (UKR - ISL): Goal for Iceland.

Gudmundsson dribbled several times centrally around 25 meters in front of the goal in the middle of the Ukrainian defense and then finished fantastically from a distance.

The ball lands half-high in the right corner.

Fourth international match within a week for Albert Gudmundsson.

27th minute (UKR - ISL):

Ukraine has significantly more share of the game.

With 66 percent possession of the ball, the Eastern Europeans dominate and press high and intensively.

Iceland has problems with this and loses the ball quickly.

23rd minute (WAL - POL):

Wales is dangerous from set pieces.

On the other hand, Poland seems a bit safer in the game.

The matter is still balanced.

18th minute (WAL - POL):

16th minute (UKR - ISL):

Mykolenko with a really dangerous finish after a direct pass.

Almost the lead for Ukraine.

Piotrowski with the first goal of the game.

His shot from 30 meters goes well over the Welsh box.

Berlin's Bouchalakis is now in the game.

Can the Hertha player turn the game around?

The players work hard and are in top shape.

In terms of football, however, the level is not worthy of a European Championship, you have to be honest.

Tsitaishvili comes into the game.

People are looking forward to participating in the European Championship for the first time.

This is clearly noticeable.

74th minute:

The encounter is very tough.

The teams are out of ideas.

There are hardly any offensive actions.

Now Georgia is changing for the first time.

Maybe the new striker Mikautadze will bring the desired momentum.

Greece chips a free kick from a long distance almost listlessly into the penalty area.

Greece can just sort things out.

Live ticker EM playoffs: Greece has disappointed so far in Georgia

Half-time:

We go into the half-time break with a draw.

The result is okay.

Greece had more of the game, but Georgia had by far the best chance to score at the end of the first 45 minutes.

Greece now has much more possession of the ball.

The Georgians are deep and are currently just running behind.

The 2004 European champions are increasing the pressure.

31st minute:

The Greeks tackle the exceptional talent harshly but fairly.

Relatively little comes of the game.

Both teams defend well and hardly allow anything to happen.

Now Georgia with a corner.

But Greece has nothing to fear here either.

There has been no real conclusion yet.

19th minute:

The third corner for Greece.

The southern Europeans try with short variations.

But this attempt also remains unsuccessful.

Goal kick Georgia.

15. Minute: Die Spieler gehen schon jetzt in jedem Zweikampf ans Limit.

EM-Playoffs Live-Ticker: Georgien will gegen Griechenland Historisches schaffen

Later, Ukraine awaits Iceland in Wroclaw, Poland.

Coach Sergiy Rebrov's team doesn't want to make the same mistake they made around two years ago.

In the playoffs for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Ukraine failed shortly before the big goal with a free kick from Gareth Bale, who shot Wales to the World Cup.

It would be the fourth European Championship participation for the football-loving country.

In Cardiff, Ukraine-Schreck Wales will host the experienced Poles in the third playoff match.

With six wins in a row against the Welsh and the 5-1 win in the semi-finals of the playoffs against Estonia, the Poles are going into the last encounter with a big chest.

Coach Michal Probierz, who has been training the Eastern Europeans since September, is still unbeaten and sums up the right approach well: “Finals and playoff games are not played, but won.”
