The women of SG Schongau/Steingaden played together in this constellation for the first time.
The project worked quite well in district class 2.
Schongau
- It was a risk: For the first time, the volleyball players from TSV Schongau and TSV Steingaden competed together - personnel difficulties in both teams made the step necessary.
A syndicate is always something like that, but in this case it apparently worked well.
In the district class, SG Schongau/Steingaden played a good role and ended the season in third place.
Team spokeswoman Karin Riedl described the season as “successful”.
In 18 duels, the team only left the field three times without winning a point.
Schongau/Steingaden ended the season with five wins in a row
The final five games went almost optimally from the SG's point of view - the protégés of the coaching team Andreas Greinwald-Kotz and Dominik Attenberger achieved five wins and collected 13 out of 15 possible points.
At the end of the round we went to Germering.
The
syndicate
defeated the hosts 3-0 (25:21, 25:21, 25:20).
There was also a 3-0 win against bottom-placed TSV Forstenried (25:10, 25:15, 25:17).
The Schongau and Steingaden women had not given up a set in the two first legs.

Before that, the syndicate was in action at home.
In the catch-up game against second place in the table, TV Planegg-Krailling IV, the Schongau and Steingaden women achieved a hard-fought 3:2 victory (25:22, 12:25, 19:25, 25:15, 15:12).
In this duel that evening, “a lot of spectators created a fantastic atmosphere,” said Riedl.
After the SG won the first round, the guests clearly set themselves apart in the second set with very effective information right from the start.
In the third set, the SG not only had difficulties receiving, but also their own errors in serving and attacking.
A change in the team got the team back on track.
In the fourth set, Julia Wanner in particular scored numerous direct points.
The deciding set was hard fought, but the SG achieved the better actions.
Due to the defeat, Planegg IV ultimately missed out on direct promotion.

Three days later there was a double match day in the Lech sports hall.
Against TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld they took revenge for a 0:3 defeat in the first leg with a 3:2 (14:25, 21:25, 25:23, 25:12, 17:15).
Revenge against TSV Eintracht Karlsfeld
Things didn't look good in the second encounter either: the first two sets were lost.
A change in the lineup brought success.
With powerful statements and well-placed attacks, the hosts narrowly won the round.
That was the turning point, because now the team could no longer be stopped.
In the tie-break, the SG showed strong nerves and won it 17:15.
The home team then defeated TSG Maisach 3-1 (25:19, 25:27, 25:14, 25:10).
The SG players only had a weak phase in the second round, which was promptly punished.
According to a statement, the victory was overall confident.
