No A Travers La Flanders this Wednesday, and especially no Paris-Roubaix, on Sunday April 7.
Rest instead.
Arnaud Démare's complicated start to the season has apparently found an explanation.
“The past examinations revealed great fatigue,” announced his Arkéa-B&B Hôtels team.
The French sprinter will therefore not be at the start of the Belgian classic À Travers La Flandre this Wednesday afternoon even though the race was previously on his calendar.
And Picard, who will retake exams in a few days, will also forfeit Paris-Roubaix on April 7, a race he finished in 6th place in 2017.
Following examinations which revealed great fatigue justifying Arnaud Démare's bad feelings in recent weeks, the latter is forced to give up on À Travers la Flandre, the Grand Prix de l'Escaut as well as Paris-Roubaix.

At 32, Arnaud Démare, who arrived in August 2023 within the Breton team after a difficult divorce with Groupama-FDJ, had been put in optimal conditions thanks to the recruitment last winter of Miles Scotson and Florian Sénéchal, two riders responsible for taking him into the sprints.
But the results did not follow.
Seventeenth in Milan-San Remo two weeks ago, he managed no better than two fifth places, at Trofeo Palma and on the 1st stage of the Tour of the Algarve.
Far from his ambitions.
