Ski superstar Lara Gut-Behrami is not in the best mood despite winning the overall World Cup.
The reason is the sudden change of her conditioning coach.
Munich – The Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami has secured early victory in the overall World Cup.
She also won the discipline ranking in the giant slalom - the 32-year-old can even put together a historic four-pack in downhill and super-G at the next World Cup.
So the atmosphere is brilliant, right?
Not at all, because her fitness coach Alejo Hervas will be leaving the Swiss, as Schweizer
Blick
reports.
A scandal between the ski star and her fitness trainer
Hervas has done outstanding work in recent years and has been embraced by several associations.
Kurt Kothbauer, Marco Odermatt's successful coach, recently announced that he would be leaving the Swiss Ski Team and the individual riders apparently really wanted Hervas as his successor.
After a short period of deliberation, the Spaniard agreed, according to Blick
–
much to the displeasure of Gut-Behrami.
The 48-year-old told the Swiss that he would quit as her coach at the end of the season, and she then sent him away straight away.
Hervas actually didn't want to inform the 32-year-old about his decision until after the World Cup final, but she got wind of it and confronted him.

By the way, the move to the Swiss-Ski men's team isn't supposed to be fixed yet.
“Alejo is interested in joining the Swiss-Ski men’s team.
But nothing has been decided yet,” explained Swiss Alpine director Hans Flatscher.
There should only be discussions after the last World Cup.
Ski star Lara Gut-Behrami loses successful coach
In any case, the successful coach will no longer work for Lara Gut-Behrami in the future.
This is a big blow for the currently best ski racer in the world.
Her father Pauli Gut recently praised his daughter's former fitness trainer effusively in an interview with Schweizer
Blick
: “He plays an important role in Lara's success because he always tries to bring new input.
By the way, Lara and he speak Spanish to each other, which she enjoys a lot.”

She also became Olympic champion in the Super-G at the Winter Olympics in Beijing.
Some time ago her husband was jealous of Felix Neureuther.
