Maximilian Mittelstädt is new to the DFB team. But what makes the VfB Stuttgart player tick privately? Just this much: Pretty Swabian for a Berliner.
Stuttgart – “A wild year with many ups and downs is coming to an end,” writes Maximilian Mittelstädt about a picture on Instagram that shows him with his girlfriend Lea Prinz. The 27-year-old wrote the short text to mark the transition into the new year - and was right about twelve weeks ago. Although at that time his first DFB nomination was still pending.

Maximilian Mittelstädt: Fantastic season with VfB Stuttgart and DFB dream goal
Mittelstädt is playing a fantastic season with VfB Stuttgart. As a reward for his strong performances, he received his first nomination for the German national team in March 2024.
In the test matches against France (2:0) and the Netherlands (2:1), Mittelstädt advertised for the DFB on his own behalf for the first time and showed the national coach that he was right with his nomination.

Lea Prinz keeps her fingers crossed for Maximilian Mittelstädt at the DFB game
Mittelstädt certainly kept his fingers crossed for his DFB debut with girlfriend Lea Prinz, who was seen in the stands at the test match in Frankfurt (March 26) wearing the pink DFB jersey. The German-Italian gives her over 60,000 subscribers (as of March 28th) insights into daily life, whether with Mittelstädt or without, but preferably posts content about “fashion, beauty & inspo” – the daily bread of an influencer.
It becomes clear that both are on cloud nine. Dog “Carlo” completes your little family. For example, the four-legged friend can watch live in front of the TV when his owner kicks the ball. Mittelstädt only moved to VfB Stuttgart last summer, coming from his training club Hertha BSC for just 500,000 euros. As a native of Berlin, he quickly felt very well received in the south.

“It didn't take me long to find an apartment and I've now met a very nice, beautiful woman with whom things are going very well and who also gives me a lot of energy,” Mittelstädt told

. It is not yet known whether he and Lea Prinz regularly devote themselves to Swabian cuisine. In any case, Mittelstädt is a big fan of the local cuisine.
“When I came to Stuttgart, I tried Maultaschen straight away. Very tasty,” enthused Mittelstädt shortly after his move. Pretty Swabian for a Berliner. Musically, the left-back is more oriented towards his hometown of Berlin.
Maximilian Mittelstädt knows Bushido and listens to hip-hop/rap
During his time in the federal capital, Mittelstädt even got to know Bushido personally and quickly became a big fan of the rapper. “I like listening to hip-hop and rap. Of course it's a bit harder music. My favorite Bushido song is 'Everything will be fine'. Otherwise, I also listen to a lot of different things,” says Mittelstädt about his musical preferences.
By the way, Mittelstädt's mother revealed on TV that the DFB whiz kid was conceived at a historic football event.
