Aleksandar Pavlovic should actually have made his debut for the DFB during this international break. But tonsillitis puts him out of action.
Munich – In the summer, FC Bayern and Thomas Tuchel were desperately looking for a holding six, but came away empty-handed on deadline day. This led to Aleksandar Pavlovic becoming the focus of the first team from his own youth and becoming a shooting star for Munich. He missed his DFB debut due to tonsillitis.

FC Bayern's season is certainly not going according to plan. A significant deficit in the Bundesliga to leaders Bayer Leverkusen and the cup exit at third division team Saarbrücken could mean that the Munich team ends a season without a title for the first time since 2012. But if you look at Bayern talent Aleksandar Pavlovic, the season also has something good.
The 19-year-old developed excellently and has now become a fixture in Bayern's midfield. This was also noticed by national coach Julian Nagelsmann, who nominated the defensive midfielder for the international matches against the Netherlands and France. But Pavlovic had to postpone his DFB debut because he was ruled out with tonsillitis.

Tonsillitis prevented Pavlovic's Bayern debut
However, it is not the first time that tonsillitis has forced the home grown to take a break. As

reports, the jewel battled tonsillitis twice in the fall of 2023, which meant he had to postpone his professional debut. At the beginning of September he was missing for around a month and therefore missed a few chances to make his first appearance at FC Bayern.
Ultimately, Pavlovic made his debut at the end of October in the record champions' 8-0 win against newly promoted Darmstadt. This was followed by a meteoric rise that would bring him to the German national team within a few months. At least that was the plan.

Pavlovic still has to wait for his DFB debut
After the international break, FC Bayern will face Borussia Dortmund in the top game of the Bundesliga. Pavlovic is aiming to return to Thomas Tuchel's team for the classic. It would be his 16th appearance for FC Bayern this season, which once again proves that he has managed to break into the team within just a few weeks.
He still has to wait for his DFB debut. The Serbian association also wanted to win over Pavlovic, but he chose Germany. Before the decisive nomination at the European Championship, the talent was no longer able to prove himself within the DFB circle. With strong performances at Bayern, he should still remain an issue for Nagelsmann.
