Thomas Tuchel doesn't come off well in the “one-two” after FC Bayern's defeat against BVB. An expert ruthlessly analyzes the work of the Munich coach.
Munich – He was a “lame duck,” critics feared after FC Bayern announced its separation from head coach Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season weeks ago.
FC Bayern in crisis: Stefan Effenberg criticizes the Munich players
The term actually comes from politics and describes heads of government who, according to the constitution, have used up the number of legislative periods and can no longer be re-elected. Most of the time they are no longer able to implement their policies, i.e. their tactics, because resistance arises both within the party and among coalition partners.
The coalition between coach and team has long since come to an end in Munich, as evidenced by Bayern's 0-2 (0-1) defeat against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday evening (March 30) in the Allianz Arena. The next day, Tuchel had to
put up with some severe criticism of his work in the Isar metropolis
from the cult football talk “Doppelpass” on
Sport1
. The experts Stefan Effenberg and Robin Dutt also criticized the Munich players for another poor performance.

FC Bayern coach: Thomas Tuchel has to listen to a lot of criticism
In Munich it is always said that the coach has to take a step back, “the player is the special thing. Then he (
the player, editor
) has to show that he is something special. Now he can't fall back on Tuchel. Then he just has to show that he is a Bayern player,” said former Bundesliga coach (SC Freiburg) and official (VfB Stuttgart) Dutt in the broadcast on Sunday (March 31).
Stefan Effenberg made an explosive comparison with the sports club from Breisgau: “I’ll take a different team, but exactly the same situation: Freiburg. Christian Streich said: 'I'll end my career in a few weeks in the summer in Freiburg.' How do the players react to this? 'We now have to give the coach back for everything he has done for this club and for us.' And they showed it yesterday in the game against Gladbach (3-0). That’s one answer.”
We know: Tuchel is leaving. But I don't see that on the pitch. And that is the big difference. That's why I think it's no longer a unity.

Thomas Tuchel and FC Bayern: Expert describes project as “failed”
The other answer was that of the Bayern players, said the former German national player at

: “You know: Tuchel is leaving. But I don't see that on the pitch. And that is the big difference. That's why I think it's no longer a unity. That's why they have the problems they have." An expert went much further with regard to Tuchel. We are talking about the editor-in-chief of the cult magazine “11Freunde”.
“The rift between Tuchel and the team can no longer be mended. I didn't think Tuchel was confident yesterday either. He basically talked everything into the ground. You actually had the feeling that this was the worst defeat you had ever suffered. I think that the illusion was broken yesterday that Tuchel's resignation could somehow give the team a boost," said sports journalist Philipp Köster. And further: “You can see that this project has failed. And Tuchel didn't make any effort either. But that’s how we know him.”
