Of the 270.8 km of the event, the first 135 are rather calm before the ascent of Old Kwaremont. Among the many paved mountains along the route, the unmissable Taaienberg, Berendries, Koppenberg and Paterberg. 17 mountains and 7 paved sectors are part of the route.

Mathieu Van der Poel without his usual competitors
Impressive last week on the E3 Saxo Classic, a preparation for the Tour of Flanders, Van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) appears to be the favorite.

Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates), winner of the Tour of Flanders in 2023, skipped this edition to concentrate on the Giro. Wout Van Aert (Visma-Lease a Bike) was injured after a fall during Across Flanders.
