The women's team from SG Seeshaupt/Weilheim did it: on the very difficult to play tracks at SKC Lohhof, they won and won the league title.

– It was a lot of hard work for the SG Seeshaupt/Weilheim bowlers until the away win at SKC Lohhof was secured. This was not least due to the tracks of the club from the north of Munich, which were difficult to play on.
Ultimately, the table leader prevailed 5:3, with the larger total number of wood (3019:2915) being the deciding factor. With this success, the SG secured the championship title in the Bayernliga South just two match days before the end of the season. In promotion games, the team now has the chance of an immediate return to the 2nd Bundesliga.

Winning the championship early “is a huge success for us,” said SG player Ramona Resch. “Of course we want to win the remaining two games again,” announces Resch. On the one hand it's against SKK Poing II, against whom the SG lost in the first half of the season. On the other hand, there is an away appearance against the biggest rivals, the Moosburger KV, on the program.
At SKC Lohhof, the game was played over six lanes instead of the usual four. The guests emerged from the first three duels with just one team point. He was won by Ramona Resch (493 wood/3:1 sets), who prevailed against Irina Bancsov (491). The other two matches were decided on the total number of blades - due to a tie in sets. Tamara Hey (461) didn't get along as expected in the first set. This left her behind Ursula Eder (479) which she could no longer make up. In the end, Petra Kräh (517) was only three wood short of defeating Monika Hartmann (519). The SG went into the second half with a deficit of 18 wood.

The SG soon made up for the handicap and the Seeshaupt women were already ahead after the first set. However, two team points were still needed for a win. Regina Resch (524) got one in quick succession: She clearly won the first three sets against Angelika Bittner / Irmi Steiner (420). In the fourth round the action was tighter, but Resch also won it (128:124).
Nines in the last clearing ensure the decision
As far as the last necessary team point was concerned, “it remained exciting until the end,” said Ramona Resch. Both SG players definitely had to win the last set to force a 2:2. Then it came down to the wood numbers. Manuela Seitz (523) finally got the point she longed for against Katrin Schulze (497). Two nines from Seitz in the final clearance allowed the SG player to overtake her opponent. Nadine Wieser (501) narrowly lost out to Susanne Hömke (509). With the last push, Wieser still managed to reach the 500 mark.

The overall result of SG Seeshaupt/Weilheim of 3019 wood may not seem outstanding at first glance. Better results have only been achieved at the Lohhofer facility once this season so far - on matchday 14. Lohhof scored 3,088 wood in his 6-2 win, while the visiting team from EV Landshut scored 3,040 wood.
