Like the Vienne or the Armançon, the Seine has not escaped the floods which cross the country. Due to the unusually high level of the Parisian river, the organizers have decided to postpone the dress rehearsal for the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games, initially scheduled for this Sunday April 8, to May 27.

According to Le Parisien, the decision to cancel this test was taken several weeks ago, the conditions being incomparable to those expected this summer. This test only concerned some of the boats planned for the ceremony, that is to say the so-called “group 2” boats. Those of “group 1” having already experienced their rehearsal last summer.
