Lots of talent and a little success, too. This Wednesday, in the semi-final of the Coupe de France against Stade Rennes, Kylian Mbappé took advantage of a bit of luck to open the scoring in the 40th minute. The Paris Saint-Germain striker deceived Steve Mandanda, the Rennes goalkeeper, with a blocked shot.
Launched with a long ball into the depths, Kylian Mbappé first fixed Guela Doué on the edge of the area to get in on his right foot. The captain of the French team then wanted to try his special: his shot at the near post, closing his foot at the last moment. The ball was blocked by Warmed Omari, which deceived Steve Mandanda.

Previously, the Rennes goalkeeper had made two spectacular saves against the same Kylian Mbappé. The first took place in the 12th minute, during a face-to-face. The French goalkeeper won it by deflecting the Parisian's shot onto the bar. Steve Mandanda won a second duel against the striker, in the 36th minute. He diverted a penalty from the Frenchman with a superb save, diving to his right.
In the event of qualification, Luis Enrique's Paris Saint-Germain would join Olympique Lyonnais in the final of the Coupe de France. The Rhone residents qualified this Tuesday, by eliminating Valenciennes (3-0).
