Hapoel Jerusalem brawl in the Kadin Carrington/Hapoel Tel Aviv dressing room
An indictment for grievous bodily harm under aggravating circumstances was filed today (Thursday) against five Hapoel Tel Aviv fans for attacking a Hapoel Haifa fan during the basketball game between the teams on March 23. In addition, a request was submitted to extend their detention until the end of the legal proceedings against them. The five suspects are: Matan Zabri, 38 years old from Tel Aviv; Daniel Greenberg, 24, from Ramat Gan; Ofek Ovadia, 24, from Or Akiva; Naor Fassi, 19 years old from Rishon Lezion; and a 17-year-old minor from Tel Aviv.
According to the indictment, at the end of the game, "dozens of Hapoel Tel Aviv fans, including the defendants, began running back to the hall towards the visitors' stands at Gate D. Outside the hall, a fight broke out between Hapoel Tel Aviv fans and Hapoel Haifa fans. At that time, the complainant (the Hapoel Haifa fan who was attacked, A.S.) from the hall and walked outside the hall on his way out. The complainant noticed a fight between the fans, decided to break away from the fight, retraced his steps, entered the hall and stood near the security guards."
"Dozens of Hapoel Tel Aviv fans, whose identity is unknown to the accused, and among them the accused, vented their anger on the Hapoel Haifa fans due to the loss. During the fight, the accused and other fans pushed themselves into the hall. A fan, whose identity is unknown, threw a plastic chair at the crowd, the chair hit the security guard's head Sergey who was standing at the entrance to the hall and tried to stop the crowd, and injured him."

Accused 1 beat the complainant with the drum and accused 2 whipped the complainant with the belt."

Nevertheless, Accused 1 hit the complainant hard in the face with the drum while the complainant was lying on the floor, and then came back and hit him hard in the head with the drum. Accused 5 kicked the complainant in the face while a security guard was holding him and tried away from the complainant. Accused 4 pushed the security guard to free Accused 5 from his grip. After that Accused 5 repeatedly tried to reach the complainant and continue to attack him, but Accused 4 pulled him away and then Accused 5 was restrained by others who were there."
"As a result of the defendants' actions, the complainant suffered nasal bone fractures, parietal and nasal subcutaneous swelling, and hematomas on his face. The defendants, in their actions, jointly injured the complainant with unlawful serious injury, when two or more were present who conspired together to commit the act by one or more of them while carrying a cold weapon."
