Scene of chaos this Thursday during the 4th stage of the Tour of the Basque Country. Vingegaard, Evenepoel and Roglic fell very heavily and the race was initially neutralized before being restarted. According to AFP, the riders fell in a downhill turn around thirty kilometers from the finish and skidded towards the side of the road before hitting blocks of stone and a concrete drain.
Note that the riders were hospitalized and that the teams of Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a bike) and Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step) abandoned. The images are chilling.
