Aged 19, Bronny James, son of LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers), announced on Instagram his desire to join the NBA. By submitting his application for the draft, a system for recruiting young prospects in the American championship, the player hopes to propel his career.
Each year, the 30 NBA franchises choose the most talented and promising young players from the college circuit (NCAA), the development league as well as championships around the world. Bronny James therefore wants to be among these players, but does not close all the doors. In fact, the American has a plan B, staying in the NCAA. He has been playing there since May 2023 with the University of Southern California Trojans team.
Victim of a cardiac arrest last July, the young man of 1.93 m and 95 kg has been playing again since December, after medical authorization. He will have to complete aptitude tests to be approved for the 2024 NBA draft. If refused, the American plans to stay in the NCAA.
