Bayern speedster Kingsley Coman often struggles with injuries. That's why he met his wife in 2018, with whom he now has a family.
Munich - Bayern star Kingsley Coman's medical file is full: torn inner and outer ligaments in the knee, various ankle injuries, torn muscle fibers, bruises and two torn syndesmotic ligaments are listed there, among other things. Because of this persistent ankle injury, the French international missed the 2018 World Cup. In hindsight, the winger can certainly take something positive from this difficult time.
FCB star Coman explains the benefits of his suffering: “It’s a blessing”
“Sometimes you are lucky in bad luck, because: I met my wife during the 2018 World Cup. Now I have a wife and children, that’s a blessing,” reports Coman in an interview with FCBTV. Two years later, the King proposed to his Sabrina on the Greek island of Mykonos, and they are now the proud parents of a daughter.
“Sometimes things happen for a reason. Sometimes not. You always have to fight. That's life," says the 27-year-old looking back and remembers: "I came here when I was 19, I was still a boy. Now I'm almost 28. Many of my memories were made here. The club means a lot to me. I’m very satisfied, happy and also very proud – but it’s not over yet.”

Coman also takes on responsibility off the pitch at FC Bayern
The fact that the “highly sensitive racehorse,” as coaching legend Jupp Heynckes once called him, also wants to take on responsibility off the field is shown by his status as the German record champion’s “integration representative.” Coman takes special care of the French newcomers.
“I try to be friends with all the players who come to us new – like Mathys Tel, Dayot Upamecano or Noussair Mazraoui.” After all, Coman knows the feeling of “leaving your home and coming to a new city.” This is not easy, especially for young players.

When the lightning-fast dribbler is asked about his best moment in a Bayern uniform, he doesn't have to think twice: his goal in the Champions League triumph in the final against Paris Saint-Germain in Lisbon. That was almost four years ago now.
“I will never get tired of this trophy. It is my greatest experience with Bavaria. It was very, very difficult to reach him, but we did it. He will always remain in my heart,” Coman looks back on the highlight of his club career and announces: “I want to have that feeling again.”
Coman hopes Bayern will advance in the Champions League against Arsenal
That is theoretically possible this season. On Tuesday, the Munich star ensemble will face Arsenal FC in the quarter-final first leg of the premier class (9 p.m., Amazon Prime Video). If Bayern manage to prevail against the Gunners in both duels, defending champions Manchester City or record winners Real Madrid would wait in the semi-finals. “We have to give everything we have. It's not easy, but maybe we can do it this year. Not everything is good at the moment, but we still have hope. And with hope anything is possible.”
It remains to be seen whether Coman can be part of the Arsenal dress rehearsal on Saturday in Heidenheim (3:30 p.m., Sky). Yesterday he only completed one running session again due to individual load control. Time is slowly running out – again.
