What happens when two former ski stars fall in love? David Ketterer and Resi Stiegler proudly present the result: a little daughter.
Munich – Will a new ski racer be born here? The newly born daughter of former ski stars Resi Stiegler and David Ketterer certainly had the genes for this in her cradle. The dream ski couple announced the happy news of the birth of their second daughter Romi on social media - and posted some sweet snapshots.

“Our little Romi was born on March 22nd. We are all in love,” Stiegler and Ketterer wrote on Instagram about some pictures showing the happy family with the newest addition. There is currently a lot of cuddling in the hut, the post continues. In December, Stiegler announced the good news to her fans about the upcoming offspring.
The older daughter Rosi is also apparently happy about her sister. In several photos you can see how the older of the two cuddles up to her little sister and watches her carefully. Rosi was born in 2022 and was the first child of Stiegler and Ketterer, who have been married since 2021.

In addition to numerous fans, some former colleagues from the ski scene also congratulated the post. Lindsey Vonn writes: “Congratulations, Res.” Further congratulations come from, among others, Manuela Mölgg, Frida Hansdotter and Anna Veith, who also gave birth to a child at the beginning of March.

Stiegler ended her active career in 2021, during which she attracted attention as a real bird of paradise. In the World Cup she competed several times with tiger ears glued to her helmet, which earned her the nickname “Tiger”. The American finished in the top 10 25 times in 176 World Cup races and once achieved a World Cup podium as second in slalom. However, she repeatedly had to struggle with injuries, some of them serious.

The German Ketterer has been competing in the World Cup in slalom and giant slalom since 2017 and ended his career last year. Ski legend Felix Neureuther reacted emotionally to the resignation at the time. The 30-year-old's career failed to achieve any major successes - but given his family's happiness, he should be able to get over this fact.
