Mikaela Shiffrin and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde got engaged. The Norwegian also announces further good news.
Munich – Pictures speak more than a thousand words: Mikaela Shiffrin and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde probably thought that too. The American posted several pictures of herself and her partner on Friday (April 5th). What's special about it: A thick diamond ring sparkles on Shiffrin's ring finger. The dream ski couple has gotten engaged!
Ski Circus congratulates on your engagement
And of course the ski circus is correspondingly enthusiastic. Bode Miller, Breezy Johnson and Nina O'Brien were among the first to congratulate. Johnson had a very special idea. The American wrote: “So Aleksander Kilde wants to start for the USA?”
Lucas Braathen recently caused a stir with his change of nation. The Norwegian will start for Brazil in the future. Such plans are not yet known at Kilde, even though the 31-year-old has repeatedly criticized the Norwegian association in the past - similar to Braathen.

Kilde announces an imminent comeback
The speed specialist is currently working a lot more on his comeback anyway. Kilde had a serious fall in Wengen last season and the end of his career was also on the cards. Shiffrin admitted that she even feared for her partner's life. But resignation is currently no longer an issue.
The 31-year-old announced on Norwegian television that his comeback could be expected soon - also thanks to Shiffrin. “The support I have received from Mikaela and her family has been absolutely incredible. “That’s when I realized: This is something I’m interested in doing for the rest of my life,” said Kilde.

Shiffrin and Kilde glamor couple of the ski circus
The Norwegian and Shiffrin have been the glamor couple in the Alpine ski circus since June 2021. “Yes, we are together,” the 2020 overall World Cup winner said in the daily newspaper

at the time : “We have known each other for six years – and now there is a spark. It is very nice."
There was a flood of congratulations from the ski scene at the time - just like now after the engagement. (
