Thomas Tuchel has to deal with injuries again at FC Bayern before the crucial games. A statement from the coach makes the problems throughout the season clear.
Munich – One could almost have assumed that the FC Bayern coach would also have to sign off for the weekend.
When Thomas Tuchel entered the press room on Säbener Strasse on Friday afternoon, he had to briefly clear his throat and suppress a small cough. “Just an allergy,” said Thomas Tuchel before press spokesman Dieter Nickles started the media round before Munich’s game at 1. FC Heidenheim.

However, what the Bayern coach then had to report was not good news. The record champions are missing five stars on their trip to the highest professional stadium in Germany. The Munich team will be competing against the promoted team without Manuel Neuer, Leroy Sané, Kingsley Coman, Aleksandar Pavlovic and Noussair Mazraoui.
Now the game in Heidenheim is no longer of essential importance due to the table situation, but what is much worse is that all five players are in danger of missing out on the all-important quarter-final first leg on Tuesday at Arsenal FC (from 9 p.m. in the live ticker).

Neuer, Sané and Co.: Tuchel gives little hope for Tuesday
“The problem is that none of the five will be spared for Tuesday,” said Tuchel on the PK: “They are not in the squad because it is not possible and that is why there is a big question mark for Tuesday too. There is no tendency, every day counts.”
Bitter for Tuchel, who has to react to the failures again. However, this is a familiar picture, as FC Bayern has had a lot of bad luck with injuries this season. On Friday afternoon, the 50-year-old seemed almost frustrated about the renewed injury and hinted at what would have been possible if he had had the squad completely fit over a longer period of time.

),” said Tuchel: “We had 19 professionals in training, the quality was completely different, the atmosphere was completely different . Now there are five potential starters missing again, which is why there are no opportunities to try something out tactically and no competition can be built.”
As is often the case this season, Tuchel now has to rebuild his team again. After the bloodless performance against BVB last weekend, this would probably have been necessary even without the many injuries. Nevertheless, the repeated injuries are putting a stop to Tuchel's plans. Especially with regard to the Arsenal game.

“I’m not going to think about what we need against Arsenal on Tuesday,” says Tuchel, describing the current situation on Säbener Strasse: “The season is too crazy, the injury situation is too crazy.” The coach revealed that he has already had a “few ideas over the last few weeks” about “what we could have done against Arsenal or what we could have tried in the last few weeks”, but “players who play a big role in these plans are missing all the time.”
Tuchel frustration before the CL banger! “I didn’t want to seem frustrated at all,” the coach explained in conclusion and then said deeply: “Sure, we want this level of competition and the quality in training. “I’m extremely dissatisfied with myself and the way we’re playing again unfortunately,” and almost put together slogans of perseverance: “We’ll just keep going and tried to push the team again. No matter how strong the headwind is.”
With regard to the very important Tuesday, we can only hope that it won't be too violent on Saturday afternoon at the 555 meters on the Heidenheimer Schlossberg.
Not that any other players will get sick.
