The final of the Copa del Rey between Athletic and Mallorca goes to extra time, as the tie remains at one in regular time. In the first half, Dani Rodríguez opened the scoring in the 21st minute, with a good shot inside the area, in an uneven play that originated after a corner kick. The rest of the first half was for Athletic, who even saw a goal by Nico Williams disallowed for offside, but the lions could not knock down Greif's goal and went down at half-time. Already in the second act, things changed and Oihan Sancet equalized the match after a great pass from Nico Williams. That goal helped their team come out on top, to the point of coming very close to scoring the second, but Mallorca resisted correctly to send the game into overtime. The Basque team is seeking its twenty-fourth Copa del Rey title, while the Vermillions want to put just the second trophy of the competition in their showcases.
