Christoph Freund (Sporting Director FC Bayern) before the game about...
… the search for a coach:
“We are in discussions. It is a very important personality and it is our big goal to find a trainer for the coming years. It's a big club. Great attraction, an honor to coach FC Bayern. I am convinced that we will also find this coach where we are in the same boat where we feel like we have made the right decision. There are some aspects to discuss and it is important that we take this time.”
… the person who ultimately makes the coaching decision:
“It’s important to have discussions. Max and I are responsible for the sporting activities. But we coordinate.”
… Julian Nagelsmann as a possible new coach:
“Good try, I won’t go into individual names. Julian has been there before, it's a special situation. Everyone also knows about Julian’s strengths. It’s important to find the right person where we have a good overall feeling.”

… Nagelsmann and whether he would be trusted with this task:
“I have a lot of confidence in Julian. But there are also other coaches who I trust. There are some aspects to discuss and then do the right thing. The important thing is to do the right thing, not the quickest thing. But we won't take our time forever. We will make a decision in the coming weeks.”
Didi Hamann (Sky expert) before the game about...
… Julian Nagelsmann as the new, old Bayern coach:
“It’s not up to me to decide. From what I'm hearing, that seems to be the most likely solution at the moment. From what I hear, he can imagine it very well.”
Thomas Tuchel (coach FC Bayern) before the game about...
... the reasons why Bayern could win today:
“There are many reasons why it couldn't work today. It's hot, the stadium is against us, we're 13 points behind. But there's one overriding reason that it's going to happen: we're on the way to Wembley! After the experience last week, double and triple.”
