Manchester City are hanging on. For their 31st league match of the season, Pep Guardiola's men succeeded in their trip to Crystal Palace by winning 4-2. However, everything started badly after a quick counterattack concluded with a cross strike from Jean-Philippe Mateta (1-0, 3rd). The Mancunians, however, showed character. Less than 10 minutes after conceding the opener, City relied on Kevin De Bruyne and his genius to get back on track thanks to a sumptuous strike (1-1, 13th).

A big end to the season expected
As usual, the reigning English champions confiscated the ball from their opponents. Rico Lewis (2-1, 47th) then Erling Haaland (3-1, 66th) recorded the reversal of the situation operated by City before Kevin De Bruyne scored twice (4-1, 70th). At the end of the match, Odsonne Edouard reduced the score (4-2, 86th).
Three days before their Champions League quarter-final first leg against Real Madrid, Manchester City once again demonstrated that they were in the running to retain their two crowns, nationally and Europeanly. Tied for first with Liverpool thanks to their 70 units, the Citizens nevertheless have one game more than the Reds and Arsenal, third. In the event of a victory for its two competitors, City would fall to third place. But no matter, with seven days to go, the fight for the title is still far from over.
