No miracle for Paris Volley. Nikola Matijasevic's players once again lost to Chaumont, this Saturday in their Pierre-Charpy room. The capital club was unable to worry the Haut-Marnais, winners 3-0 in this third round of the quarter-final of the League A playoffs. The season is therefore over for Paris. For its part, Chaumont advances to the semi-final.
The Parisians, who finished eighth and obtained the last ticket for the playoffs, never managed to cast doubt on the leader of the regular season. If they had snatched a set in the first two matches of the series (two 3-1 defeats), that was not the case this Saturday.

The team coached by Nikola Matijasevic was weighed down by a poor start to the match. Quickly led 6-2 by Chaumont in the first set, she never managed to make up for this deficit. The Haut-Marnais easily got their hands on the first round. (25-20).
The second set was much more competitive and the two teams even reached the money time tied (21-21). But when it came time to score the points that mattered most, Chaumont was more skillful and knew how to accelerate at the right time to lead the match 2 sets to nothing (25-23).
The best team of the regular season concluded this match and the series with a final round dominated from start to finish. Chaumont was always ahead of Paris in the score during this third set and logically qualified for the semi-finals of League A (25-18). Paris therefore lost in the first round of the playoffs against an opponent too strong for it.
The Ile-de-France club can still be satisfied with its season, having finished ninth in the regular season last year and narrowly missed the playoffs. Above all, he had almost lost his club license, necessary to compete in League A, due to the capacity of his gymnasium. Finally, Paris Volley managed to convince the League office to renew it.
