Thomas Tuchel and FC Bayern – that just doesn’t seem to fit. Now the trainer gave an unfiltered insight into his emotional world.
Munich – The closer the separation with FC Bayern gets, the less effort Thomas Tuchel makes to hide his frustration. The successful coach imagined his time in Munich to be fundamentally different.
Good mood appearances at press conferences became increasingly rare for Tuchel as his term progressed - it was no different before the game against 1. FC Heidenheim. The recent misery of injuries is particularly affecting the 50-year-old.

Five Bayern failures against Heidenheim – Tuchel frustrated
Manuel Neuer, Leroy Sané, Kingsley Coman, Aleksandar Pavlovic and Noussair Mazraoui are out for the game in Heidenheim. Towards the end of the press conference, a reporter asked him about his bad mood: “You seem frustrated.” Which obviously hit a nerve with Tuchel. “I didn’t want to seem frustrated at all, but okay,” he initially defended himself half-heartedly, only to then honestly admit a little later: “I’m super dissatisfied with myself.”

Tuchel is particularly bothered by his team's indisposed performance against BVB. “I thought we were over it and wouldn’t take a step back.”
He has already ticked off the championship, but he hasn't lost his fighting spirit yet, as the following announcement shows: “We'll keep going, no matter how strong the headwind is. As frustrating as the season has been for me and us, there is still one goal: to go to Wembley. We have to do everything we can to achieve this goal.”
