Eintracht Frankfurt apparently wants to exercise the purchase option for Hugo Ekitiké, which is anchored in the loan agreement with Paris Saint-Germain.

, Eintracht Frankfurt is planning to exercise the purchase option for Hugo Ekitiké. The Adler would apparently have to transfer 16 million euros to Paris Saint-Germain. An impressive sum, but those responsible believe in the potential of the Frenchman, who was seen from the start as an investment for the future and not as immediate aid.
“Hugo is a young player who has already demonstrated his great potential. We are happy that the transfer worked given our economic conditions. “We will of course give him the time he needs to arrive,” said sports director Markus Krösche when he was signed at the beginning of February.

He recently got more playing time under head coach Dino Toppmöller. He might have been able to make it into the starting line-up for the game against SV Werder Bremen, but an injury stopped him. “Hugo Ekitiké will be out due to slight problems with his adductors,” confirmed Toppmöller at the press conference before the Bremen game.

“If you don't play for a long time, it takes time to get into your rhythm and unfortunately you always have problems. As a player, I experienced this firsthand. In the current season, Hugo Ekitiké has made ten appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt across all competitions, in which he managed one assist. Its market value is currently 15 million euros, roughly in the same range as the purchase option. (
