There is a sudden change in referees at FC Bayern's game in Heidenheim. Referee Robert Schröder was unable to continue after the break.
Heidenheim - Not only FC Bayern experienced a black Bundesliga day on Saturday: While the Munich team ultimately lost 2-3 against Heidenheim despite a 2-0 lead, the referee of the game, Robert Schröder, had to struggle with health problems. So there was a strange referee substitution.
Curious referee change during Bayern's defeat in Heidenheim
The summer temperatures of around 27 degrees in Heidenheim apparently caused Schröder so much physical trouble that he was unable to continue as a referee after the half-time break. The DFB said that the 39-year-old had struggled with circulatory problems. The continuation of the game was delayed by a few minutes after the break.
Heidenheim coach Frank Schmidt said after the game that Schröder was on the way to the hospital. There was initially no further information.
Because there was a sudden change in referees during the half-time break. The fourth official, Patrick Alt, who unexpectedly made his Bundesliga debut, took over for Schröder. After 83 games in the second division, Alt had probably imagined his first Bundesliga appearance differently, but his debut was suddenly perfect in a game against the big FC Bayern.

Schröder with circulatory problems – old celebrates Bundesliga debut
It took less than 15 minutes before the 39-year-old appeared for the first time. After an alleged wrong throw-in decision in favor of Heidenheim, Bayern coach Tuchel complained loudly to the referee. Apparently too energetic for Alt, who showed Tuchel the yellow card. And that has consequences: Because it is the fourth for Tuchel, the coach will be missing from the Munich team next Saturday against 1. FC Köln.

Now Bayern are traveling to London: Eberl announces Tuchel's decision
“I was on my feet once, just once. “I coached everything sitting down,” Tuchel complained to Sky after the game about the yellow card as a result of a “clearly wrong decision.” Apart from the yellow card, Alt didn't appear any further and was not partly to blame for the Bayern bankruptcy, in which six FCB professionals received a tz grade of 5.
While Alt was completing his first 45 minutes as a Bundesliga referee, the next oddity occurred on the sidelines: the position as fourth official was taken over by a spectator. There had previously been announcements in the stadium that a referee was being sought. According to Sky, Frank Dürr, referee chairman of SRG Schwäbisch Gmünd, got in touch - and suddenly found himself between Tuchel and Heidenheim coach Frank Schmidt.
