Playstation Now: Sony lowers price of its games flat rate

Sony makes its game flat rate package cheaper. As the Japanese company announced on Tuesday, the service already launched in Germany in 2017 Playstation Now costs significantly less than in the future. From now on Sony demands 10 instead of 15 Euro per month for the Games subscription, the annual subscription costs 60 instead of 100 Euro. For a quarterly membership 25 euros are due.

Sony speaks of prices "that are comparable to the prices of other entertainment entertainment streaming services". Existing customers would see the price change on their next bill, they say. New customers could test Playstation Now for another seven days for free.

In addition to the new pricing structure, Sony also announced on Wednesday that four popular Playstation 4 games are now part of the package, namely "God of War", "Grand Theft Auto V", "inFamous: Second Son" and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End ".

However, according to the announcement, these blockbusters will initially only be available for three months, from October 1 to January 2, 2020. For gamers, this means that anyone who wants to play through "Grand Theft Auto V" as part of their package should not be allowed too long take your time.

"Each month, the series of popular games will be expanded to include new games available for a limited time," Sony said on the new flagship games. "This familiar content will be regularly added to Playstation Now in addition to existing and popular games."
