After the crash of two Boeing 737 Max, details are constantly appearing that put pressure on the US aircraft manufacturer. The final report of the accident sees the blame in a design flaw.

About a year ago, 189 people died in Indonesia in a crash of a Boeing 737 Max. According to a recent report by the investigators, the cause of the accident is a design flaw of the aircraft type. The authorities informed the families of the victims on Wednesday in Indonesia's capital Jakarta before the official publication of the final report.

Another reason for the accident see the investigators in the operation: Boeing had given the team only insufficient information about the operation of the systems, so that the team could not react properly in the event of a disaster. The crash of the plane of the low-budget aircraft Lion Air shortly after the launch in Jakarta on 29 October 2018, all 189 inmates were killed.

Particularly criticized is the control program Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS), which was specially developed by Boeing for the 737 Max. The pilots can turn off the system by means of two switches in the cockpit again, but this obviously did not happen. Apparently, an external sensor provided incorrect data. The pilots had tried again and again to pull the machine up - to no avail.

The report states: "Based on misconceptions about the pilots' response and an incomplete review of the associated effects of multiple flight errors, MCAS reliance on a single sensor was considered appropriate." The fact that this was deviated from the usual principle of redundancy, MCAS made prone to error, so the investigators.

Recently, the US aviation authority FAA had raised allegations against Boeing for alleged negligence in registering the 737 Max. The aircraft manufacturer had a document in which a technical leader had expressed negative about the flight characteristics of the 737 Max, already found months ago, the Ministry of Transport, however, submitted until late Thursday.

According to the technical chief pilot Mark Forkner years ago after test flights in a flight simulator complained about the poor flight characteristics of the 737 Max.

In addition to Boeing, the FAA has been criticized by the 737 Max crashes. In another crash of the same type of aircraft by Ethiopian Airlines died in April 157 people. In both accidents, a total of 346 people were killed.
