The General German Automobile Club (ADAC) wants to increase its membership fees from next year. The Autoclub would like to make that decision at its Annual General Meeting in mid-November.
Should the increase be decided, the 21 million ADAC members from 2020 would have to pay higher contributions. "Increased efficiency and premium adjustment together make ADAC financially well placed and in the black in 2020," said ADAC President August Markl.

For three years, Germany's biggest club has lost. ADAC SE's membership income and dividend are insufficient to pay for roadside assistance, services, digitization and insurance tax. So far, the basic membership costs 49 euros, the plus membership 84 euros.
The Executive Committee and the Board of Directors also intend to decide on the introduction of a new Premium Membership at the Annual General Meeting. The premium increase would be the first since 2014.
