Tesla has received 146,000 orders for his new model by Saturday, according to his boss Elon Musk, despite an embarrassing glitch during the presentation of the so-called Cybertruck.
When chief designer Franz von Holzhausen had thrown an iron ball against one of the alleged bulletproof glass panes of Tesla's Cybertruck prototype on Thursday, the disc was fragmented. The same happened with a second iron ball throw on the electric pick-up truck. "There are still room for improvement," musk then tried to save the situation.

The 146,000 orders were received, without the group advertising for the Cybertruck had stressed, the Tesla boss on Saturday on Twitter. Most pre-orders would have opted for the two- or three-engine variant of the car. Tesla wants to start production in late 2021.
With its futuristic design, the Cybertruck reminds some more of a fighter jet than a classic pick-up. This time, Tesla set the base price at just under € 36,000 before taxes. In the top version with three engines, the price is already rising to around 63,000 euros.
The standard version of the Cybertruck should have a range of over 400 kilometers and comes to Tesla from the state in 6.5 seconds to 100 km / h. The top model is even needed only 2.9 seconds and can hold up to 800 kilometers. (Read more about the car here).
If you want to reserve a Cybertruck for yourself, you must first deposit 100 euros with Tesla. Currently, the company is preparing for the market launch of the compact SUV Model Y and an electric semi-trailer.
