"Chair Challenge": The viral challenge that only women manage to meet
TIKTOKSeemingly this is a pretty stupid challenge (well, everyone is) but the fact that men fail to meet it, while women do it quite easily - has managed to attract many men to try the challenge for themselves and prove it is possible - without success. The "challenge of the chair" began on the social network "Tick Took" and since then has also gained momentum on other social networks, where in all cases only women manage to meet it. The challenge is this: standing in front of the wall, taking two or three steps back and bending until the head clings to the wall. While in this strange position, grab a chair or stool in your hand and lift it close to your chest. So far both men and women will be on a mission. The hard part comes just after: When the chair is close to your chest try to straighten back. Women will be able to straighten easily while men will lose their balance and fall.
The network is full of videos of couples trying to meet the challenge. Christina Sorrentino and her fiancé Devine proved that despite his muscular physique - he couldn't stand the challenge. In a video that has already garnered more than a million views, Christina is seen performing the challenge without blinking while muscular and tattooed Devin gets stuck in the fateful stage. Watch the videos and then explain to you why.

There are two reasons for the distinct female advantage in this challenge: the feet and the men's balance center. Men usually have larger feet than women, so the distance they take from the wall is higher and in men, the center of balance is higher and concentrated in the chest, while in women it is at the hips. Of course, there are exceptions too: Low men will succeed with concentration and effort to meet the challenge, while tall women will find it difficult.
American researcher Jeremy Johnson wrote on his blog: "It's all about the equilibrium center that women have under the waist, while in men it is higher. So, for most women, the equilibrium center is bent under the chair and men He's over it. " Cambridge University professor Brian Ford believes the reason lies in the size of men's feet. He told the Sun: "It is true that women in the equilibrium center are in a region lower than men by a few inches, but that is not the reason why men do not meet this challenge. Men have bigger feet than women. "While in the women it is 50 cm. So it turns out that the man stands farther from the wall and so he has to lean forward. In contrast, the woman's legs are closer to the wall and so she leans back and easier for her to lift the chair."
