DGCCRF alert in 2018
In November 2018, a teenage girl lost her life in circumstances similar to Outreau (Pas-de-Calais). After this tragedy, the DGCCRF (Directorate General for Competition, Consumption and the Suppression of Fraud) had issued an alert on the danger of using a telephone while it was being loaded in a bathroom.
In general, the DGCCRF recommends not to charge electrical devices in damp rooms, or to handle plugged-in electrical devices with wet hands or feet.
