As of today, Google will update the app on Android and iOS operating systems with a new design that includes five tabs: "In the environment" where information, ratings and reviews can be found about 200 million businesses and places around the world. "Daily", where the destination can be reached in the most efficient way, including by car, bicycle or public transport. You can set your daily itinerary and enjoy real-time traffic, arrival time, and alternate routes. "Saved" will allow you to save places you want to visit, or view places that others have reserved, to plan your vacation or places to visit. "New content" where information such as streets and addresses, business rating, and photos can be easily shared. And in the "Updates" tab you can find the most trendy places, and even contact the business directly.

Google shared that all the updates were made thanks to the passengers who chose to share the experience. "If you also want to contribute to future travelers, a brief survey is awaiting you on the maps, about recent trips on public transport. These updates will be gradually available to users around the world starting in March," Google says. Another update that is coming is the Live View that will see the exact distance to the place and navigation instructions to it on a picture of the environment you are in.
